La Terrazza to Host Western North Carolina Relief Fundraiser on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024

Proceeds from select wines will be donated to Wine to Water to support disaster relief efforts in western North Carolina

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, La Terrazza will host a special fundraiser in support of Wine to Water, a global non-profit dedicated to providing clean water solutions. The evening will feature a curated selection of four red and four white wines, with 100% of proceeds from wine sales going directly to aid Wine to Water’s on-the-ground disaster response efforts supporting those impacted by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina.

“Communities come together in times of need; supporting an organization like Wine to Water, especially with their immediate response to the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene, is one way we can enable our guests to join us in that effort,” says Samad Hachby, owner and founder of Umbria Hospitality Group (La Terrazza, Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar, and Melrose Knitting Mill).

Wine to Water (WTW) is an international organization committed to preserving life and dignity through clean water access. Founded in 2004, WTW partners with local communities to develop sustainable WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programs that go beyond immediate relief, impacting education, women’s empowerment, healthcare, and economic growth. Their disaster response team is currently on the ground in western North Carolina, providing clean water and relief to those affected by the hurricane.

Wine to Water’s story began right here in Raleigh when Doc Hendley, a former bartender and musician, founded the organization in 2004. Since then, WTW has grown into a global force for good, actively responding to crises such as floods, earthquakes, and hurricanes, delivering life-saving solutions to communities in need.

La Terrazza invites the Raleigh community to join them on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, from 5 until 11 p.m., to enjoy a night of wine and camaraderie, all in support of a vital cause. Make a reservation online at https://laterrazzaraleigh.com/reservations/ or grab a seat of one of their two bars—one indoors and the other on the patio overlooking the City of Oaks.
