Whiskey Kitchen Announces Third Annual Ardbeg Wee Beastie Sauce Boss Competition

Well-known neighborhood bar and southern kitchen Whiskey Kitchen is excited to announce their third annual Ardbeg Wee Beastie Sauce Boss Competition, which will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, from 6-9 p.m. Whiskey Kitchen once again partners with Ardbeg for this fun and collaborative event on their patio in Downtown Raleigh. The event is free and open to the public, inviting guests to enjoy a flavorful BBQ experience and a taste of Ardbeg Wee Beastie. Several Whiskey Kitchen staff members will create their own BBQ sauces using Ardbeg Wee Beastie Single Malt Whisky as a key ingredient, which will be served on Whiskey Kitchen’s house-pulled pork.

Guests will have the chance to try all five BBQ sauces created for the event. After sampling, attendees can vote for their favorite sauce. The Ardbeg team will be on-site to engage with attendees, answer questions, and hand out swag.

Contest Guidelines:

Each competing sauce will be assigned a color and served in a corresponding colored cupcake liner. Attendees will sample the sauces on Whiskey Kitchen’s smoked pulled pork. Each attendee will be given two tickets: one to vote for their favorite sauce and one to redeem for a free pour of Ardbeg or a featured Ardbeg Wee Beastie cocktail. Two winners will be announced: one chosen by popular vote and one selected by expert judge, Ben Tuorto, owner and founder of Benny T’s Vesta Dry Hot Sauce.

Whiskey Kitchen invites all to join this free, non-ticketed event. General restaurant service will still be available throughout the evening for guests not participating in the competition.
