Last Friday, Executive Chef Dean Thompson of the new 41Hundred restaurant and bar at North Hills in Raleigh treated us to a special sneak peek of the new Midtown hot spot.
Located inside the Renaissance Hotel, 41Hundred replaces the former Flights restaurant with a freshly revamped footprint and new menu, but same winning culinary program guidance from Chef Dean Thompson who is known locally for impressing diners at the Competition Dining Series and other local foodie performances.
Part of the renovations at the restaurant concept include adding a ceiling to what was once a soaring multi-level open dining space which allows for overflow seating upstairs during crowded times, but also a unique new venue for private events, banquets, meetings, and other special event rental space needs.
41Hundred’s daily food offerings will include hotel breakfast as well as unique lunch and dinner menus that are price particularly-accessibly for a hotel brand of this caliber. Thompson and his hospitality team treated us to samples of many of the menu items which are bound to be big hits including a tuna Poké bowl, Korean BBQ wings (these were a big hit at our table), Halloumi (a tasty cheese dish featuring figs and heirloom tomatoes), and even Oxtail Poutine. Check out the full menu here – but fair warning, do not review it while you’re hungry or you’ll be hopping in the car and heading to Midtown promptly.
Ready to try 41Hundred’s new offerings? Stop by the Grand Opening Celebration on Tuesday, July 25, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. to sample complimentary bites from the new menu or grab a few friends and head in for lunch and dinner and convince everyone to order various items from the menu and enjoy stealing bites of everyone’s selections!
